Job Overview:

Tradewind Recruitment is collaborating with a secondary pupil referral unit (PRU) to recruit tutors for 1:1 support of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalized tutoring sessions to enhance academic and emotional growth
  • Create interactive lessons covering the National Curriculum to promote better learning outcomes
  • Utilize online educational platforms to support student engagement and progress
  • Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages academic and emotional development
  • Collaborate with the student's support network to ensure consistency and effective support

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher or experienced tutor with a strong track record of supporting SEMH students
  • Proficiency in Maths and English to provide effective academic support
  • Ability to utilize online educational platforms effectively to enhance learning outcomes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
  • Empathetic and patient demeanor to create a supportive learning environment
  • Safeguarding and child protection training to ensure a safe and secure learning environment
