As a key member of the Discover team, the Application Reliability Engineer is essential in maintaining the stability and efficiency of our applications. Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate, design, and implement new functionalities adhering to high-quality benchmarks
  • Mentor and support junior engineering staff
  • Facilitate technology groups and influence design strategies
  • Identify and resolve issues while crafting proactive measures
  • Engage in High Availability, Disaster Recovery, and Resiliency assessments
  • Apply DevOps methodologies for seamless integration and deployment
  • Expertise in monitoring and diagnosing distributed systems
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Technical proficiency rated as competent
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Unix and Bash scripting
  • Background in performance engineering and production support
  • Programming experience in Python or Java
  • Experience with system monitoring, alerting, and analysis
  • Proficient in tools such as Openshift, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Jenkins, among others
