Elevation Recruitment Group is partnering with a successful PLC in Sheffield to appoint a Tax Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a dynamic team and take on a key role in managing group taxes and the tax control environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain tax accounting procedures and controls for the group, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Work closely with external tax advisers to ensure the group is tax compliant in all areas, including VAT, CIS, and corporation tax.
- Project lead on tax-related initiatives, such as health checks, land remediation relief claims, and corporation tax for accounts and returns.
- Review and submit CIS and VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain up-to-date SAO certification and tax strategy, ensuring best practice tax reporting and disclosures.
- Act as the main point of contact for tax queries across the group, providing expert advice and guidance.
- Develop and deliver tax training to the business, maintaining tax awareness and ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CTA) with 3-5 years of tax experience.
- Strong knowledge of VAT and tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with external tax advisers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze complex tax data and provide expert advice and guidance.
