About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join our Property Services team at SNG Formerly Sovereign Housing Association. As an Electrician with our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our customers' homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine testing and repairs of electrical services equipment in our customers' homes, adhering to Institute of Electrical Engineering (IEE) wiring regulations and our established standard procedures.
  • Undergo responsive repairs and works within our planned teams, in line with work schedules and to the highest standards.
  • Estimate, requisition, and recommend the acquisition of necessary materials and spares to ensure that repairs and maintenance are carried out to the required standards.
  • Apply your knowledge and skills to record and report on the status and condition of electrical services equipment via periodic inspection sheets and minor works/installation certificates.
Requirements
  • Relevant and up-to-date qualifications, including a minimum of NVQ level 3 (or equivalent), 18th Edition (BS7671), and City & Guild 2391 Electrical Test/Inspect.
  • Experience within a similar role, preferably in the Residential/Housing sector.
  • A full and current driving licence with a minimum of 1 year's experience.
  • A satisfactory licence check, essential qualifications check, and a basic disclosure.
