Leonardo presents a remarkable opportunity for a Lead Engineer for Product Security Solutions to become a vital part of our team within the Customer Support and Service Solutions (CS3) division. CS3 operates throughout the UK, delivering innovative support solutions to our clientele, ensuring the availability of front-line capabilities.

We are in search of a seasoned product security expert with a strong background in developing and sustaining effective product security management systems tailored for defense and governmental clients.

The Lead Engineer for Product Security Solutions will be tasked with supervising all security dimensions of product conception, development, verification, and upkeep throughout all lifecycle stages. They will work closely with development teams to direct the design, execution, and maintenance of security measures.

  • Offer security guidance and assistance to product development teams, including defining security requirements, conducting security risk evaluations, and formulating security risk mitigation strategies
  • Oversee security policies and generate Line of Business (LoB) security metrics
  • Lead security incident management teams during critical situations

The Lead Engineer for Product Security Solutions holds authority within the Design Integrity function, managing security process upkeep, security competence frameworks, and the evaluation of security proficiency. They will also preside over a LoB security Community of Interest to foster best practices and knowledge exchange.

  • Proven experience in establishing security risk management systems for diverse products and services
  • Acquaintance with pertinent legislation and information assurance standards
  • Hands-on experience with security evaluation methodologies and incident investigation
  • Capability to deliver training and enhance awareness regarding product security
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
