Position Overview:
We are pleased to present an exceptional opportunity for a Facilities Maintenance Technician at Pinewood Group Limited. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Facility Services Supervisor, focusing on the upkeep, refurbishment, and enhancement of our facilities to ensure they remain in optimal condition for various uses.
This position allows you to showcase your enthusiasm for maintenance tasks and contribute to making Pinewood a fulfilling workplace.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the Facility Services Refurbishment Supervisor in the safe and effective renovation of Pinewood's facilities.
- Perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including but not limited to:
- Replacement and repair of door hardware.
- Painting and decorating tasks.
- Installation and repair of carpet tiles and wooden flooring.
- Repair and replacement of ceiling tiles and suspended ceiling grids.
- Patch plastering repairs (skimming/rendering).
- Basic carpentry tasks, such as kitchen unit assembly and installation.
- Minor roof repairs (mineral felt and liquid membrane).
- Clearance and repair of downpipes and gutters.
- Assist other refurbishment team members with maintenance duties to meet project deadlines.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including Health and Safety regulations.
- Ensure that team expectations and behaviors are upheld, and that tools and equipment are maintained and utilized safely.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Undertake any additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications:
- Relevant City and Guilds/NVQ level 2 trade qualification or equivalent experience with references.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Experience in a commercial setting is preferred.
- Self-motivated with effective time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent teamwork skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Attention to detail and high-quality workmanship.
- Strong communication skills and confidence in interactions.
- Proficient in MS Office 365 and capable of using job status systems (training will be provided).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Asbestos Awareness.
- Experience with vinyl flooring installation and repair.
- Familiarity with hygienic PVC wall linings installation and replacement.
- Additional trade qualifications in Carpentry or General Maintenance that can enhance team performance.
