Job Title: Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at Low Carbon Contracts Company Ltd. As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and building our data ecosystems, working closely with developers, solution architects, and other stakeholders to define the optimum data platform for the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, process, and store data from various sources, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and reliability throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Work with developers and solution architects to define data models and architectures that meet business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data quality and accuracy.
  • Drive data governance initiatives to establish data standards and best practices.
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience in designing and building data engineering solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data ecosystem, including Azure Databricks, Data Factory, Data Lake, and Synapse.
  • Strong competence in Python, ideally PySpark experience.
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines.
  • Strong experience in SQL and process optimisation, performance tuning, data modelling, and SQL/database design skills.
