Job Title: Residential Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at Ruskin Mill Trust. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting and facilitating the holistic needs of our students, enabling their growth in confidence and social independence.

About the Role

The main purpose of this role is to provide high-quality care and support to our students, aged 16-25, who have complex behaviour and learning difficulties, including autistic spectrum conditions. You will work in a multi-disciplined, dynamic environment, supporting our students in their home, college sessions, work-related learning, and in the wider community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and facilitate the student's holistic needs, care, wellbeing, learning, and development.
  • Work with challenging behaviour and provide a safe and supportive environment for our students.
  • Collaborate with our multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement individual care plans and risk assessments.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to our students, promoting their confidence and social independence.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or a related field. You must also be able to work with challenging behaviour and provide a safe and supportive environment for our students. A Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Level Disclosure is also required.
