Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team in Zwolle. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical direction, supervision, and reviews of flooding and drainage modeling and engineering assignments. You will also develop local technical systems and standards, supervise and instruct junior staff, and prepare commercial, technical, and financial proposals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical direction, supervision, and reviews of flooding and drainage modeling and engineering assignments
  • Develop local technical systems and standards
  • Supervise and instruct junior staff in technical modeling assessment and design works
  • Prepare commercial, technical, and financial proposals
  • Conduct investigations, studies, analyses, concept design, and documentation
  • Provide high-level technical advice to engineers and scientists from other disciplines

Business Development and Account Management

  • Develop new business for the Rivers and Water Management team and other parts of the Haskoning Australia business
  • Manage and run high-profile client accounts in key sectors
  • Build and maintain high-level client relations at a strategic/decision-making level

Requirements

  • Highly effective technical and practical scientific and engineering skills in relevant disciplines
  • Experience in flood impact assessments, drainage system analysis, and design
  • Ability to provide direction and advice on technical matters
  • Outward-looking and able to consistently deliver quality, accurate, and timely work

  • Good organizational skills
  • Civil/Environmental Engineering Degree
  • Postgraduate qualifications/specialization (desirable)
