Role Summary:We are seeking a distinguished executive to take on a strategic leadership role focused on overseeing and managing technology and cybersecurity-related risks while ensuring robust data governance practices across the enterprise.
The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive background in technology risk management, data governance, and a proven history of executing effective strategies to protect technology assets.
- Establish the Technology Risk Management framework and strategies encompassing IT, Network, and Application risks.
- Provide guidance to proactively manage Technology and associated risks.
- Review and enhance Technology risk management policies, limits, and methodologies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Support Privacy Regulations and oversee proper Data handling across the organization.
- Collaborate with Technology Executives (CISO, CTOs, CIO, BISOs) to ensure adherence to standards and policies related to Technology Risk, Cybersecurity, and Data Governance.
Reporting directly to the SVP, Chief Risk & Compliance Officer, this role will involve close collaboration with Technology, Legal, Compliance, and other divisional and functional leaders throughout the organization.
This key leadership position will drive the development and execution of Technology Risk & Data Governance initiatives, fostering a culture of security and compliance while significantly contributing to the overall resilience, reputation, and success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, assess, and prioritize technology risks impacting the organization, providing critical insights to the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer, CISO, CIO, CTOs, and General Counsels.
- Oversee and operationalize the Technology Risk Management Framework.
- Report and advise on technology risk-related matters to internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive the operationalization of the Data Governance Framework, establishing and enforcing data governance policies and procedures.
- Analyze control designs surrounding the underlying system architecture in the context of information technology controls such as security, availability, and performance.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of relevant technology controls through business and technology process analysis.
- Promote the development of educational resources for Technology Risk & Controls and Technology personnel.
- Ensure quality standards are met in the development and maintenance of program documentation.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address regulatory requirements.
12 years or more of experience in the Financial Services, Ratings, or Data/Research Industry.
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Security, Risk Management, Business Administration).
- Technology Risk professional with extensive knowledge of IT risk, Cybersecurity, Network risk, operational risk, third-party risk, and other related risks.
- Demonstrated experience in technology risk management and data governance.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a high-performing team of technology risk and data governance professionals.
- Commitment to providing mentorship, training, and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Ability to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Compensation/Benefits Information:The final base salary for this role will be determined based on the individual's geographic location, experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
