SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity

Protocol Education is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child with severe social and communication difficulties in a lovely all-girls school in Croydon.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will provide one-on-one support to the child, assisting in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs). They will also support the child's social and emotional development through tailored strategies and collaborate with teachers and other staff to create a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing individual support to a child with severe social and communication difficulties
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of IEPs
  • Supporting the child's social and emotional development through tailored strategies

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Strong understanding of social and communication difficulties and strategies to support them
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, and in some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
