Electrical Design Engineer Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to support the R&D and Manufacturing activities of our client. This is a permanent position based in the Midlands, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Design, develop, and update electrical and electronic components and assemblies, ensuring conformance with Electromagnetic Compatibility regulations and relevant electrical safety standards.
  • Product Support: Support new and existing products, including high-power and high-voltage switched-mode power supplies and control electronics.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the Manufacturing and Quality teams to address current issues and develop solutions.
  • Testing and Development: Conduct testing and development throughout the product life cycle.
  • ECAD Software: Utilize ECAD software for schematic capture, PCB layout, and wiring diagram generation.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in hardware (analogue and digital) electronic engineering.
  • Skills: Proficient in the use of ECAD software for schematic capture, PCB layout, and wiring diagram generation.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical and electronic components and assemblies.
