About the Position

Join our Asset & Technology division as a Lifting Operations Training Specialist, where your expertise will play a crucial role in delivering significant projects that impact our organization and the wider community.

In a dynamic and expanding environment, you will oversee all aspects of Plant & Lifting Operations across various sites and venues throughout the UK, including our distinguished Plant and Lifting Training Facilities.

Key Responsibilities

As a Lifting Operations Training Specialist, your duties will include:

  • Providing training, evaluations, and assessments to meet the highest standards for both internal and external stakeholders across all schemes and certification bodies.
  • Evaluating candidates through diverse methodologies for NVQs.
  • Creating tailored training plans that adhere to company policies, stakeholder expectations, and legal regulations.
  • Designing and delivering relevant plant/lifting and safety training programs in line with the established training plan.
  • Developing Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • Assisting in ensuring compliance with both internal and external audits.
  • Supporting the delivery of specific Health, Safety, Environment, and Sustainability (HSES) training as necessary.

Candidate Profile

Essential Qualifications:

  • NPORS Instructor/Examiner qualifications in Lifting categories (e.g., Slinger Signaller, Crane/Lift Supervisor, Overhead Cranes).
  • SSSTS, SMSTS, or Managing Safely IOSH certification.
  • Workplace Trainer qualifications from City and Guilds or equivalent (L Units).
  • Experience in a construction site setting.
  • A robust operational background in Lifting Operations.
  • Proficiency in developing and designing training materials.
  • Experience in creating Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
