About the Role:

As a Senior Technical Design Manager, you will be an integral part of our Product Design team. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the Design Development Process from initial concept to final approval for Curvy Kate and Brastop brands.
  • Creating and delivering the Seasonal Design Brief, aligned with the buying and merchandising strategy.
  • Conducting research on trends in fabrics, products, fit, and pricing within the lingerie and swimwear sectors, attending relevant trade shows to translate these trends into innovative design concepts.
  • Reviewing all product imagery and video content prior to marketing launches.
  • Developing patterns and grading for new product launches using Lectra Modaris software.
  • Establishing and applying grading rules in accordance with business standards.
  • Collaborating with the Senior Garment Technologist to ensure fit approval meets brand expectations.
  • Leading and mentoring Technical Designers, fostering their professional growth.
  • Supervising daily activities of the Technical Design team.
  • Managing and delegating color selections for Curvy Kate and Brastop products.

About You:

  • At least eight years of experience in technical design development for fuller bust lingerie.
  • Ability to provide insightful guidance on branded product development to junior team members.
  • Expertise in the design aesthetics and product features specific to fuller bust items.
  • Proficient in using Lectra Modaris for pattern cutting and grading.
  • Extensive experience in fit and development of fuller bust products, including molded styles.
  • Skilled in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for creating technical and design CADs.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to delivering well-fitting, comfortable products.
  • A proactive, organized team player with excellent communication skills, capable of building strong relationships with colleagues and suppliers.
