Job Title: Head of Food and Beverage Strategy

Musgrave NI is seeking an experienced professional to lead our Food and Beverage Strategy team. As a key member of our Trading department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive growth and profitability in our food and beverage business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of our Food and Beverage Leadership Strategy, ensuring alignment with our Commercial Plan and Brand Strategies.
  • Facilitate coordination across all programmes and initiatives, and serve as the key point of contact for Food and Beverage Leadership Strategy.
  • Lead the Trading Team to deliver long and shorter-term category strategies that enable the delivery of Food and Beverage Leadership Strategy.
  • Track and report on progress and activities across the programme and initiatives to ensure all stakeholders are regularly updated.
  • Work with Sales and Marketing colleagues to ensure the planned and efficient implementation of all initiatives.
  • Support new ways of working in relation to mission-based and segmentation data approaches that drive more consumer and commercially led offer development across the business.
  • Represent Trading on key Forums and at retailer engagement sessions.
  • Contribute to Strategic Brand Projects, such as SuperValu Brand Rejuvenation and Centra Next Generation and Sustainability.
Requirements:
  • Experienced in leading and delivering large complex programmes.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experienced in connecting to and working with mid and senior management positions.
  • 3rd level Bachelor's degree or minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
  • Ability to engage multiple stakeholders and manage multiple commercial projects simultaneously.
  • Previous people and programme/project management experience.
  • Knowledge of the NI/Irish retail industry a distinct advantage.
  • Technically advanced IT skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, and other MS Office tools.
  • Strong Planning and Organisation skills.
  • Proven commercial acumen.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • People Management experience.
  • Structured and independent way of working, including strong issue identification and hypotheses generation skills to mitigate implementation risks.
