About the Role

Croda International Plc is seeking a highly skilled Credit Controller to join our Finance team at our Hesslewood offices. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective management of our accounts, allowing for the successful operation and growth of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Download cash from the bank and post in SAP (multiple currencies)
  • Effectively collect cash from customers to minimize overdue balances
  • Liaise with internal teams to resolve late payments and order/delivery blocks
  • Conduct credit checks on new customers and perform ongoing reviews for existing customers
  • Propose and maintain accurate credit limits and payment terms
  • Follow Credit Policy, working instructions, and other Company Policies
  • Assist with month-end reporting and other ad-hoc requests
Requirements
  • Proven knowledge and experience of working in a credit control department
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills to build effective working/customer relationships
  • Attention to detail to ensure work is produced to a high standard and communications/notes are accurate and up-to-date
  • Good planning and organization skills, with self-motivation to ensure tasks are completed to deadlines
  • A flexible and adaptable attitude, with a willingness to learn and adapt to change
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in English and Maths at grades C or above
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience of using SAP
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel)
  • Credit checking experience
  • Knowledge of financial accounts
  • Experience with global customers
  • Experience of multiple currencies
  • Knowledge of payment term methods (secured terms)
  • Credit management or other finance qualification (e.g. AAT)
