Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at the London Borough of Redbridge. As a key member of our educational staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of a high-quality, accessible curriculum across our school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with varying needs, including those with an Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan.
  • Work closely with class teachers and the Leadership Team to develop and implement effective learning strategies.
  • Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic excellence and social growth.
  • Support the development of students' literacy and numeracy skills through targeted interventions and activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and ensure consistency in support provision.

Requirements:

  • Good literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and the wider community.
  • Experience of working with young people in an educational environment, with a strong understanding of child development and learning theories.
  • High expectations of learning and behavior, with the ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
