About the Role:

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our education support team, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in a variety of settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational needs in small groups or one-to-one settings
  • Prepare and adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students
  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons and providing additional support to students
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and other support staff
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, including teachers, therapists, and support staff
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students, promoting their social, emotional, and physical well-being

Requirements:

  • Level 1 or 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS, registered on the Update Service
  • Previous experience working with students with special educational needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced education environment
