About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Senior to join our Business Tax team at Menzies LLP. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing a portfolio of corporation tax clients, ensuring their compliance cycle is managed effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee a portfolio of corporation tax clients, ensuring their compliance cycle is managed effectively.
  • Prepare and review UK corporation tax computations, monitoring reporting and payment deadlines.
  • Work closely with audit and accounts teams to advise on tax accounting entries and disclosures.
  • Train and mentor junior colleagues within the Business Tax Team.
  • Provide corporation tax compliance proposals and quotes to prospective clients.
  • Coordinate and review other business tax-related returns, such as ATED, ERS, EMI, and P11Ds.
  • Monitor and manage financial performance in line with KPIs.
  • Identify opportunities for tax planning, risk mitigation, and cross-selling between service lines.
Requirements
  • Good knowledge of tax issues affecting OMBs and their shareholders.
  • Knowledge of other business taxes and tax reporting processes is preferable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of UK accounting standards and competent in interpreting accounts and other financial information.
  • Strong IT skills, including MS Office and databases, Alphatax ideal but not essential.
