Position OverviewWe are in search of a qualified PCV/HGV technician with substantial experience in heavy commercial vehicle maintenance to become part of our Cardiff-based team. If your background includes working with trucks or plant machinery, our experienced engineers and managers are ready to support your professional development.
The successful applicant should possess the ability to diagnose and rectify vehicle issues to a high standard, demonstrate a commitment to enhancing their technical skills, and hold a recognized vehicle maintenance qualification. A valid UK driver's license is essential, and assistance will be provided to obtain a PCV license.
Key ResponsibilitiesMain Duties
- Perform tasks with diligence and safety.
- Engage in activities outside of your primary trade as required.
- Notify management of potential vehicle concerns.
- Carry out repairs both on-site and off-site.
- Accurately identify and resolve defects and their underlying causes.
- Manage vehicle defect clearances when necessary.
- Oversee vehicle recovery and changeovers as needed.

RequirementsCompensation Structure
Hourly Rates:
- Standard Monday to Friday: £21.35
- Standard Weekend: £26.47
- Overtime Monday to Friday: £26.47
- Overtime Weekend: £32.82
Work Schedule
Members of the engineering team operate on a rotating schedule that encompasses all operational hours, including weekends. Shifts may begin as early as 5am and conclude as late as 1am, following a pattern of 7 on - 5 off - 5 on - 4 off.
