KBR is actively seeking to enhance its Project Management Team to tackle forthcoming project opportunities on an international scale.
In this role, reporting directly to the Director of Projects, the selected candidate will be primarily responsible for the technical and commercial execution of multiple projects encompassing pre-FEED, FEED, detailed design, or EPCm phases.
The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in managing both greenfield and brownfield projects, including the construction of new facilities and the integration of expansions into existing offshore infrastructures. Familiarity with both floating and fixed structures is highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe project execution that meets client expectations while adhering to cost, schedule, and contractual obligations, maintaining accountability for financial outcomes.
- Oversee KBR project results related to financial performance, health, safety, and environmental standards, client satisfaction, budget adherence, and schedule compliance.
- Act as the primary liaison between clients and KBR teams, fostering strong collaborative relationships within the project delivery team.
- Assist in business development efforts through client engagements, presentations, and proposal submissions.
- Guarantee project execution aligns with KBR's established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements.
- Manage project risks to prevent delays, cost overruns, performance issues, or reputational harm.
- Ensure accurate reporting of project status and forecasts.
- Identify resource needs and coordinate with resource managers.
- Lead projects as the sole project manager or as part of a larger project delivery team.
- Develop and implement project execution plans, keeping clients and KBR informed of project progress.
- Support the training, development, and mentoring of emerging project delivery professionals.
- Senior-level professional with a strong drive for success.
- Exceptional leadership and team motivation capabilities.
- Experience in cultivating relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge and experience in the delivery of new construction projects (fixed and/or floating platforms).
- Experience in greenfield and brownfield execution, including integration with existing systems.
- Strong awareness of environmental and sustainability challenges, particularly regarding decarbonization opportunities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in an additional language is a plus.
- Encourages teamwork and the development of interpersonal skills within a collaborative environment.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery in various global contexts.
- Facilitates the resolution of technical challenges across multiple disciplines.
- Leads the tracking and reporting of project progress, including Earned Value analysis and key technical issues.
- Advocates for continuous improvement across all aspects of project management.
- Implements a team-focused approach to change management, both internally and externally.
- Handles contract administration, including change orders, amendments, and risk management.
- Possesses strong communication and influencing skills to gain the confidence of senior management, partners, and project team members.
- Typically acquired skills through an undergraduate degree in Engineering and possession of a Professional Engineering or project management qualification (e.g., PMP or AMP).
