This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are dedicated to providing exceptional care to individuals with neurological conditions.

About the Role:

As a Senior Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for leading a team of Speech and Language Therapists in providing high-quality care to patients with a range of neurological conditions, including brain injury, spinal injuries, progressive conditions, and stroke. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake comprehensive assessments of patients' communication and swallowing abilities using evidence-based outcome measures.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Provide education, training, and advice to junior Speech and Language Therapists, Rehabilitation Assistants, and staff from other disciplines.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of research projects that aim to improve the quality of care for patients with neurological conditions.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech and Language Therapy or a related field.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Proven experience working in neuro rehab, neurology, or stroke services.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience of leading a team of professionals.
