Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Verification Tester to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our signalling team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of testing activities for component parts of a signalling scheme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver testing activities in compliance with contract and group standards
  • Ensure work is completed within limitations identified in Network Rail Certificate of Competence
  • Actively develop and increase testing competencies and abilities
  • Identify variations to contract and pass to Project Manager
  • Control daily work in line with testing and commissioning plan, WPP, and Task Briefings
  • Motivate associated staff and effectively communicate task requirements
  • Comply with Alstom testing procedures and identify potential process improvements
  • Undertake COSS/SWL duties and maintain a safe system of work
  • Ensure safe methods of working are maintained and Verification/Functional Tester license is up to date
Requirements
  • Numerate and literate
  • Auditing and presentation skills
  • Effective communication and commercial awareness
  • Knowledge of contract conditions, planning process, and risk assessment
  • Understanding of group and line standards, HSE requirements, and design and installation
Desirable Qualifications
  • ONC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
  • Associate member of IRSE
  • Mod 1 Licence
