SSE Enterprise is looking for a motivated and proactive Project Management Assistant to join our expanding team. If you possess a background in engineering or construction, a passion for project management, and a dedication to safety, we invite you to consider this opportunity.
In this role, you will assist in managing a diverse project team to ensure the successful execution of high-voltage transmission projects, adhering to budget, quality, and timelines during various project phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to plan, implement, and oversee projects, ensuring timely completion of tasks and deliverables.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives while embodying our core leadership values.
- Manage work packages, emphasizing project value and efficiency, and prepare financial reports to contribute to budget planning.
- Provide input for tender documents and contract specifications, assist in tender evaluations, commercial negotiations, and contract management.
- Develop a solid understanding of safety management systems and best practices, ensuring project teams align with our safety culture.
As a Project Management Assistant, you will have the opportunity to advance into a Project Manager role by engaging in the complete project lifecycle.
What do I need?
- A background in engineering, construction, or project management with a desire to further develop in a Project Management career.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations, including knowledge of relevant legislation.
- Understanding of contract administration and an eagerness to develop project programming skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- A proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills.
- A valid driving license is essential due to the requirement for site visits.
