About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team in Weston Super Mare. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students of all abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the classroom environment to ensure a safe and productive learning space
  • Run activities and interventions to support student learning and development
  • Lead 1:1 and small group interventions to support students with SEN
  • Support students of all abilities, including those with SEN, in a mainstream or specialist school setting
  • Report writing and liaison with Senior Leadership Team (SLT) on student progress

About You

We are looking for an individual who has:

  • Experience working with children, particularly toddlers
  • Knowledge of special education practices and strategies
  • Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with students with diverse learning needs
  • Strong organizational skills to assist with lesson planning and classroom management
  • Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum
