Geotechnical Engineer Position Overview

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join their team in Burton on Trent. The ideal candidate will have a background in land quality assessment and experience in geotechnical design and investigation.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design, supervise, and manage site investigations, including costing and procuring.
  2. Undertake ground investigations and engineering assessments.
  3. Produce informative reports on geotechnical and environmental aspects.
  4. Oversee foundation construction and earthworks.
  5. Ensure all health and safety regulations are met.
  6. Conduct environmental calculations.
  7. Ability to work on site.
  8. Design and supervise earthworks.
  9. Develop foundation design skills.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in an Earth sciences discipline.
  2. 4+ years of relevant experience in geotechnical design and investigation and geo-environmental fieldwork.
  3. Member of the Geological Society and aspiring to become Chartered.
  4. Full UK Driving Licence.
  5. Experience with AutoCAD, QGIS, Slide, Holebase, or Geo5.
  6. Ability to log soil and rock samples.
  7. Team player with problem-solving skills.
