Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Team Leader to join our team at French Resources. As a Logistics Team Leader, you will play a key role in managing logistics operations and ensuring the smooth running of our logistics team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operations:
    • Ensure loading plans and processes are up-to-date and agreed with all parties
    • Ensure platform checks are being completed by Logistics Specialists
    • Communicate clearly between internal and external departments, CAVs, and Eurostar, including participation in relevant meetings and support the Logistics Manager in maintaining those relationships
    • Manage a team of Logistics Specialists to ensure smooth running of operations and actions are taken in a timely manner to mitigate logistics issues
    • Project Manage special groups and charter trains with MSL and EIL
    • Ensure team is communicating effectively to OBS and lounges on all disruptions
    • Review feedback from OBS and CAVs on Logistics issues daily and implement solutions
    • Ensure coverage of all shifts at all times throughout the year; including covering shifts when necessary
  • Management:
    • Create and update roster to ensure shift coverage aligned with the need of the business
    • Conduct all staff assessment, feedback on a bi-weekly basis and confirm PRP scores
    • Create team development plan to support Logistics Specialists in all operational needs
  • Finance:
    • Work alongside MSL departments to ensure loadings adapted in accordance with sales and minimise wastage for both BB and FC
    • Audit the Logistics Specialist's team analysis tasks, provide feedback to ensure process is adhered to as described and reported to the relevant stakeholders on time
    • Monitor the key data provided from Logistics partners such as wastage, recycling, top off and take relevant action to maintain stock availability in line with the KPIs
    • Assist Logistics Manager with invoicing of special events and charter trains
Requirements:
  • Fluent in English and French, Dutch will be advantageous
  • Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, stock management ideally in a similar environment
  • Ability to work accurately with numbers, data and hold problem-solving skills
  • Team development and leadership skills
  • Experience of working in multi-cultural environment will be a plus
  • Ability to think outside the box will be an asset
  • Must be able to travel to France and to work weekends (rotas)
