Job Summary
Moray Council is seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of tasks to maintain the Council's grounds and green spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate ride-on grass cutting lawnmower equipment and tractor to maintain the Council's grounds and green spaces.
- Transport goods and personnel as required.
- Apply pesticides and insecticides as necessary to maintain the health and safety of the grounds.
- Carry out horticultural operations, including pruning and weeding.
- Use powered hand tools to maintain and repair equipment.
Requirements
- Experience of operating ride-on grass cutting lawnmower equipment and tractor.
- Full current driving licence with Category B.
- Flexible attitude, with some overtime working required.
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
Working Hours
37 hours per week, with hours annualised to 35 in the winter and 39 in the summer.
Salary
£12.59 per hour.
