Senior Manager Opportunity

The Urban Design Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to lead the organization's day-to-day operations, manage a small team, and contribute to the delivery of our charitable objectives.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a new strategic plan and objectives for the Urban Design Group, in collaboration with the Strategic Director, Chair, and Executive Board.
  • Manage and develop effective processes and systems for running the organization, including monitoring activities, scheduling events, and providing reports.
  • Oversee the annual budget and financial management, ensuring timely delivery of financial reports and tracking expenditure against the agreed budget.
  • Manage HR processes, including recruitment, line-management, and ensuring due diligence is paid to EDI considerations.
  • Oversee and facilitate the delivery of the Urban Design Group's annual program of events, including conferences, seminars, tours, visits, webinars, and workshops.
  • Develop strategies to generate additional income for the organization through sponsorships, grants, and other sources.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience working for a charity or business, with experience of managing a variety of operations for a small/medium-sized organization.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with the Executive Committee and Trustees.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with members, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Proven ability to work proactively and self-motivated, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
