Job Summary:

Adecco is seeking a Quality Assurance Team Lead to join our client's team in the steel industry. As a Quality Assurance Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day routine and emerging work through the Quality team using established processes and procedures to perform checks and support the improvement of the company's product quality to the highest Environmental, Health and Safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Investigate customer complaints and requests for quality deviation evidence from customers for analysis against expected quality standards.
  2. Analyze production records against customer complaints and conduct Symptoms Causes Remedies Actions (SCRA) investigations where deviations have occurred.
  3. Coordinate with key stakeholders to resolve customer complaints and communicate full traceability and recommendations to contracts teams at the outcome of investigations.
  4. Visit customers to conduct on-site investigations when appropriate and maintain compliance records.
  5. Record investigation data within appropriate databases and gather traceability documentation for electronic storage.
  6. Coordinate the distribution and calibration of measuring equipment and retain and store calibration certification.
  7. Coordinate quality checks and third-party testing of material and lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of functional professionals to ensure that the plant meets its established targets and standards.
  8. Conduct interviews for internal and external candidates, complete induction, onboarding, and probationary reviews in a timely manner, and evaluate individuals' performance and set objectives for the future.
  9. Conduct performance reviews within timescales, manage poor performance, manage attendance and timekeeping, and conduct investigations, disciplinary, and grievance procedures in line with company policy.
  10. Ensure HR and Payroll are provided with data and documentation as and when required and seek advice from HR, Occupational Health, or other support agencies as needed.

Requirements:

  1. Experience in a Quality Assurance role in the steel industry.
  2. Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and quality management systems.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Ability to lead and motivate a team of functional professionals.
