Position: Project Analyst


We are collaborating with a prominent retailer seeking a skilled Project Analyst to join their team on a fixed-term contract, with the potential for a permanent position thereafter.


Role Overview:
The primary responsibility will be to establish and uphold the Project Management Office (PMO) within the organization. This includes coordinating the weekly Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and generating monthly project reports for management.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Act as a Project Analyst for designated initiatives, identifying opportunities for enhancement.
2. Maintain a comprehensive overview of all pertinent projects within the PMO framework.
3. Collaborate with subject matter experts across the organization.


Requirements Gathering:
Engage with business users to comprehend, prioritize, and document business needs in alignment with strategic objectives. This will involve:
- Conducting interviews
- Analyzing documents
- Facilitating requirements workshops
- Distributing surveys
- Performing site visits
- Describing business processes
- Developing use cases and scenarios
- Conducting task and workflow analysis.


Strategic Engagement:
Challenge and drive business units regarding their assumptions about how their requirements and existing systems will fulfill strategic goals and functionalities.


Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a PMO setting with relevant certifications.
- Background as a Project Analyst with appropriate qualifications.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies, processes, and tools.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management abilities.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels, and influencing key decision-makers.


Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.
- Experience working collaboratively within a project team.
