About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at a vibrant Primary School in the Nottingham area. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of students in Key Stage 1 and 2.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general classroom support to students, facilitating learning through play and small group interventions as needed.
  • Work closely with the Class Teacher to promote the acquisition of learning goals and support students in achieving academic success.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and emotional well-being among students.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to plan and deliver effective learning programs.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a smooth and supportive learning experience.
Requirements
  • Experience working in an educational environment with children aged 4-11 years.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
  • Behaviour management skills and the ability to support students with diverse needs.
  • Knowledge of Phonics and Read, Write Inc programs.
  • Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • A current Enhanced DBS check or willingness to process a new one.
