Job Title: Apprentice Maintenance Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced maintenance professional to join our team as an Apprentice Maintenance Engineer. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and performing repairs to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform repairs to minimize downtime
  • Work collaboratively with other maintenance team members to achieve maintenance goals
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to improve equipment efficiency and reduce maintenance costs
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies

Requirements:

  • Formal engineering qualification to NVQ Level 3 or higher in an electrical or mechanical subject
  • Nationally recognized apprenticeship in an engineering discipline would be an advantage
  • 16th / 17th or 18th Edition Certification
  • Proven experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
