We are seeking a highly skilled z/OS Systems Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at NTT DATA Services. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the UK Mainframe Processor estate within a multi-LPAR, multi-site Sysplex environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and maintain the UK Mainframe Processor estate
  • Upgrade the UK Mainframe estate to the next generation of IBM Processor
  • Upgrade the Microcode levels on the Mainframe Processors, Coupling Facilities, HMCs, and TKEs
  • Build and activate IODF/IOCDS configurations in support of changes to the Storage estate and other key projects
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience of mainframe hardware support and configuration
  • Knowledge of z/OS, HMC, HCD, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL, CHPID Mapping tool, JES2
  • Knowledge of the latest IBM z processor generations z14, z15, z16
  • Sysplex and Coupling Facility knowledge
  • Troubleshooting for day-to-day incidents and problems records
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Ability to communicate complex information in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
  • Build effective networks across business areas
  • Comprehensive understanding of risk management and compliance with regulatory processes
