Job Title: General Manager

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to join our team at Holroyd Howe, a leading contract caterer providing fresh and innovative food services to independent schools and colleges.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our catering team to deliver exceptional customer service and high-quality food experiences to our students. As a General Manager, you will work closely with our chefs, kitchen staff, and other teams to develop and implement menus, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our culinary team to create well-balanced and nutritious menus that cater to diverse dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Manage the catering budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining quality standards.
  • Establish strong relationships with school Bursars, Head Teachers, and faculty to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate catering staff to achieve exceptional customer service and quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and quality control protocols.
  • Identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and improvement in menu offerings, service delivery, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a General Manager or Deputy General Manager in a high-volume, quality-focused environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong leadership, coaching, and delegation skills.
  • Financially astute, with excellent analytical and budgeting skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
