Cummins Mellor Recruitment is seeking an experienced and ambitious Purchasing and Inventory Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in the development, growth, and progression of our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management and Planning: Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
- ERP System Management: Maintain and update our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system with accurate and up-to-date information on products and services.
- Purchase and Receipt of Stock: Review and improve our purchase and receipt of stock policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stock Levels and Stocktaking: Maintain appropriate stock levels and oversee regular stocktaking to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain close working relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and shipping partners to ensure smooth operations.
- Logistics and Coordination: Effectively coordinate all movements of imported stock, liaising with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
- Negotiation and Procurement: Identify and negotiate the best possible rates with existing and new manufacturers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Inventory Analysis and Forecasting: Analyze data, such as sales figures and customer demand, to forecast inventory needs and make informed decisions.
- Supplier Agreements and Audits: Ensure all supplier agreements are valid and maintain and update factory audits to ensure compliance.
Requirements
- Experience in Inventory Management and Logistics: Proven experience in inventory management and logistics, with a strong understanding of supply chain operations.
- Client Relationship Management: Experience in managing, maintaining, and developing client relationships, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Interpersonal and Organizational Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively nurture and develop relationships with suppliers, couriers, and in-house staff, with excellent organizational and planning skills to ensure efficient inventory operations.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to accurately forecast inventory levels and make informed decisions.
