About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Wienerberger België. As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out essential maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime
  • Assist in developing and implementing maintenance strategies to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
  • Attend to breakdowns and perform repairs as needed
  • Ensure machine safety standards are upheld and critical spares are maintained
  • Install and maintain plant machinery to optimize production
  • Contribute to the development of safe systems of work (SSOW) documentation
  • Adhere to Wienerberger's quality system and standards in accordance with BSEN ISO 9001
Requirements
  • Minimum level 3 qualification in an Engineering discipline
  • Experience working in manufacturing or factory environments
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety best practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Diagnostics experience of hydraulics, pneumatic, and drive chain fault finding
  • Bearing fitting and alignment experience
Desirable Qualifications
  • HNC or HND qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience in heavy industry manufacturing
  • Knowledge of cutting and grinding regulations
  • Arc and Mig welding and basic fabrication skills
  • Electrical control systems experience
