About the Role

As an Engineering Degree Apprentice at GE Aviation, you will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of activities to build well-rounded engineers with well-developed interpersonal and team-working skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enrolment in a BEng Hons degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of the West of England (Bristol)
  • A series of work placements within our engineering teams to gain skills and experience working on front-line projects
  • Support from technical and pastoral mentors from both Dowty and the university
  • Participation in enrichment activities, local school's engagement, the GE apprentice network, and various external events
Requirements
  • Minimum of 112 UCAS points via A-Levels, BTEC Extended Diploma, or equivalent qualification with appropriate Mathematics content
  • Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics, or equivalent (we accept Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths)
  • Understanding of our business and products, and the broader aerospace industry and the challenges we face

Recruitment Process

As part of our recruitment process, you will be required to submit an initial CV application. You will then be invited to submit additional information we require to enable us to screen your application. After this, you may be invited to a video interview. If successful, the final stage would be to attend an assessment centre on site.
