Job Title: Academy Lead

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Academy Lead to join our team at Harmless CIC. As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for overseeing our training and education services, ensuring they remain resilient and aligned with our organisational goals.

About the Role

The Academy Lead will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing training and education strategies that align with our organisational goals and objectives.
  • Overseeing the delivery of high-quality training and education services that meet the needs of our stakeholders and service users.
  • Collaborating with our Senior Leadership Team to build a business case that demonstrates service quality, effectiveness, and successes.
  • Ensuring connectedness between training services by developing and fostering a 'more than the sum of our parts' work culture.
  • Ensuring training intellectual property, content, and resources uphold current best practice, guidelines, and policy.
  • Developing frameworks and structures across all training and education services to ensure they align to a shared vision and purpose.
  • Developing data collection systems across all training and education services to ensure we can continuously improve our services and offer.
  • Proactively planning and preparing for, and responding to, an ever-changing external environment, changes to local and national policy, opportunities for growth, disruptions, risks, and threats.
  • Attending key stakeholder meetings on behalf of the organisation as required.
  • Building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships, with particular emphasis on people and groups instrumental to our short, medium, and long-term aims, objectives, and goals.

  • An ability to identify and respond to an ever-changing external environment, disruptions, and threats, putting us in the best possible position to achieve our goals and objectives.
  • An energy and passion for delivering the best training and education experience for our stakeholders, ensuring their voice is heard across services.
  • An ability to proactively identify challenges and opportunities that ensure training and education services run efficiently, effectively, and economically.
  • A history of building effective relationships and maintaining key stakeholder engagement up to senior level and policy level.
  • A proven ability to work collaboratively across our organisation, operations, and teams, simplifying and removing complexity and motivating teams, creating a vision and strategy.
  • An ability to read and use data and evidence to make informed decisions, measure success, and monitor performance in line with organisational priorities.
  • A management or leadership qualification or willingness to successfully complete a relevant course that will result in a management or leadership qualification.
