Key Responsibilities:- Develop and optimize extraction methods to achieve target specifications.
- Utilize high-performance thin layer chromatography (HPTLC) and supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) techniques to separate and analyze complex mixtures.
- Work at scale to develop and implement large-scale extraction processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality standards and specifications.
- Develop and maintain a robust patent portfolio related to extraction and separation technologies.
- Verify the quality of samples for consumer research and development.
- Conduct ageing studies to ensure the stability and shelf life of our products.
- Develop and implement methods to enhance process environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics.
- Manage and maintain analytical data and stock management systems.
- PhD in chemistry, food chemistry, or a related field with a strong background in natural product research.
- Extensive hands-on experience in various extraction technologies, including solvent extraction and SFE.
- Strong knowledge of detection methods, including LC/MS and HPTLC.
- Good knowledge of chromatography science, including thin layer chromatography, SFC, liquid chromatography (LC), gas chromatography (GC), and spectrophotometry techniques.
- Hands-on experience in standard lab testing, including density and pH measurements.
- Proven strategic thinking and analytical skills to influence long-term project success.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A competitive base salary up to £65,000 + 30% bonus.
