Job Opportunity: Laboratory Technician

About the Role:

SRG is seeking a highly motivated and organized Laboratory Technician to join our Product Development Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the development of new and existing molecular diagnostic applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct general maintenance and lab safety activities, including equipment maintenance, consumable orders, and lab stocking.
  • Support the planning, execution, and reporting of laboratory work and experiments.
  • Carry out the practical elements of studies, including DNA extraction, PCR setup, and handling and processing of biological samples.
  • Adhere to COSHH and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Work as part of the product development team to ensure a safe and efficient laboratory environment.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent experience working in a laboratory.
  • Proficient in MS Office packages, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven organizational skills, self-motivation, and attention to detail.
  • Laboratory experience in a regulated environment is desirable.
