Job Overview

Gibson Search is seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to contribute to the development of innovative conversion solutions for industrial materials handling equipment used in hazardous environments.

This role requires a strong understanding of ATEX and Ex regulations, as well as expertise in electrical system design and integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop electrical systems for integration into existing mechanical and electrical vehicles and equipment
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with ATEX and Ex requirements
  3. Develop and maintain project documentation, including design specifications and test plans
  4. Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues and clients
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in electrical design and ATEX compliance

Requirements and Qualifications:

  1. Degree or HND qualified in electrical, electronic, or automotive engineering
  2. Minimum of 3 years' experience in MOD, Aerospace/Defence, or Marine sectors
  3. Proficiency in power and electrical design, including system design and component selection
  4. Familiarity with ATEX, Ex, and/or IEC Ex regulations
  5. Proficiency in using AutoCAD electrical
