Grounds Maintenance Operative Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our Commercial team at Glendale. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking grounds maintenance work, including mowing large grassed areas, strimming, blowing, line marking, and renovation, hedge trimming, and general maintenance to shrub beds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake grounds maintenance work, including mowing, strimming, blowing, and line marking
  • Trim hedges and maintain shrub beds
  • Operate handheld machinery and equipment
  • Work on a variety of sites across the region
Requirements:
  • Full, clean driving licence
  • Experience of driving light commercial vehicles and towing trailers (desirable)
  • Reliable and conscientious with a can-do attitude
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Previous experience of grounds maintenance work, horticultural tasks, and use of handheld machinery (desirable)
