About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Multi Skilled Operative to join our team at our flagship Asphalt plant in Birmingham. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our plant, including operating mobile and fixed plant, maintaining stocks, and adhering to safety protocols.

Main Responsibilities
  • Operate mobile and fixed plant on site
  • Work with the team to ensure customers receive high-quality materials and on-time deliveries
  • Assist the Supervisor in meeting daily/weekly production targets
  • Follow SHE policies and procedures
  • Ensure plant conforms to safety requirements at all times
  • Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality responsibilities
  • Inspect the plant and take corrective action on defects
  • Maximize plant availability
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping around the site
Requirements
  • Proven experience working in an industrial, factory, or similar environment
  • Good communication skills and a desire to develop both operative and supervisory skills
  • Knowledge of fixed and mobile plant operations
  • Knowledge of Asphalt mixing
  • Full UK driving license
  • IT literacy
