About the Role

Ouster is a leading innovator in the field of LiDAR technology, developing cutting-edge sensors and tools for engineers, roboticists, and researchers. We're seeking a highly skilled Digital IC Design Engineer to play a critical role in designing and building next-generation, commercial-grade LiDAR systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Concept Definition and Architecture: Develop and define the digital architecture and blocks for our LiDAR systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Specification Writing: Create detailed specifications for digital IC design, including requirements and constraints.
  • RTL Design and Verification: Design and verify digital ICs using SystemVerilog/VHDL, ensuring correct functionality and performance.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with analog IC designers, sub-contractors, and other teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of LiDAR systems.
  • Debugging and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues in RTL/gate level simulations and failures, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Scripting and Automation: Develop and maintain scripts using Python, Perl, and other languages to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Technical Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and presentations to stakeholders.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of relevant industrial experience in digital design, with a strong background in automotive electronics a plus.
