Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert guidance and support to foster carers, promoting the welfare and well-being of children and young people.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure the voice of children and young people is represented in all aspects of the service.
- Deliver training and development programs to foster carers, promoting best practice and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
- Conduct regular visits and assessments to ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people in foster care.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with foster carers, children and young people, and other professionals involved in the service.
- Relevant social work qualification (DipSW, CSS, CQSW) and valid registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
- Proven experience in child protection and fostering, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the service and its stakeholders.

Our fostering service in Edinburgh is rated 'Good' by the Care Inspectorate and is supported by a team of experienced professionals.
