Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert guidance and support to foster carers, promoting the welfare and well-being of children and young people.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure the voice of children and young people is represented in all aspects of the service.
  • Deliver training and development programs to foster carers, promoting best practice and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
  • Conduct regular visits and assessments to ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people in foster care.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with foster carers, children and young people, and other professionals involved in the service.
Requirements:
  • Relevant social work qualification (DipSW, CSS, CQSW) and valid registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
  • Proven experience in child protection and fostering, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the service and its stakeholders.
