About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious finance graduate to join our team as a Trainee Finance Business Partner at James Andrews Recruitment Solutions (JAR Solutions). This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in commercial finance and work closely with our clients to provide financial support and guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a Finance Business Partner for all levels of internal stakeholders up to Director level, providing financial support and guidance to ensure the profitability of a part of the New Vehicle range.
  • Prepare the financial results each month and financial forecast updates, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Update the P&L and consolidate other activities, ensuring all financial data is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Contribute actively in the development of the monthly forecast and budget, working closely with the Commercial Finance team.
  • Complete all month-end activities, including accruals and prepayments, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Act as the first point of contact for MS Excel queries, assessing faulty spreadsheets, identifying the cause of the issue, and fixing it.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years post-graduate experience in a finance role, preferably in commercial finance.
  • Extremely confident with MS Excel, able to develop and produce new spreadsheets and amend existing faulty ones.
  • Recent finance graduate looking to progress within commercial finance.
  • Studying or desire to study a professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, etc).
