Job Description

TPF Recruitment is working with a reputable local firm of Chartered Accountants to find a skilled Accounts Assistant/Semi Senior Accountant to join their team in a general practice position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts, tax, and VAT preparation, and be studying AAT/ACCA or be qualified by experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare statutory accounts to review stage, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with management accounts production, providing timely and reliable financial information.
  • Prepare personal taxation, corporate taxation, and VAT returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Perform general bookkeeping duties using Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Coach and mentor junior staff members and trainees, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • 1-5 years of experience in an accountancy practice, with a strong background in accounts, tax, and VAT preparation.
  • Studying AAT/ACCA or be qualified by experience, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Hands-on experience in accounts, tax, and VAT preparation, with a strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
