* Full time: 35 Hours per week, 198 days per year (term time plus eight days)

Contract Type

* Permanent

Pay Scale

* Grade 3 (p.6 - p.11) \u00a323,893 - \u00a325,979 (pro rota to hours worked)

Additional Allowances

* 8% SEN allowance

What Skills and Experience We\u2019re Looking For

* The successful candidate will have:

1. A passion and commitment to working with children with Special Educational Needs

2. Understanding of the barriers to learning that children with special educational needs may face and be able to use effective strategies to support them

3. Experience of developing learning resources that scaffold and support learning

4. Awareness of child development and knowledge of how children learn

5. Experience of working with or caring for children of a relevant age to those in the school

6. Communication skills to liaise sensitively and effectively with parents and carers

7. NVQ 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience

8. Literacy and Numeracy skills equivalent to Level 1 of the National Qualification & Credit Framework

9. Completion of Department for Education Teaching Assistant Induction Programme (or to complete within first term)
