About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled PROIV Software Engineer to join our team at Zellis. As a PROIV Engineer, you will work closely with our ResourceLink development teams to design, build, and maintain product functionality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Product Strategy & Planning team to analyze requirements for future developments.
  • Provide estimates for delivery and design/coding solutions based on requirements, ensuring Agile delivery methodology is maintained.
  • Present designs back to the Product Strategy & Planning team via daily scrum meetings.
  • Develop and unit test quality software, including developing specifications, leading teams, or working with other developers.
  • Perform thorough unit and link testing to ensure all components perform as expected.
  • Develop and document unit and link tests to ensure completed solutions meet design and original requirements.
  • Work closely with the QA team during the QA process.
  • Collaborate with other Engineers to ensure successful execution and delivery of Epics and bugs.
  • Provide demonstrations and training on developed software.
  • Ensure Version Control procedures are maintained.
  • Resolve bugs and ensure correct procedures are maintained for unit testing and delivery.
  • Ensure strict procedures are followed when accessing customer systems.
  • Take ownership of RFH and bugs raised by the Product Support team.
Requirements
  • Experience with ResourceLink products or previous experience in the HR/Payroll software industry.
  • Worked within an IT development environment.
  • Experience with PROIV programming language or equivalent.
  • Relational database experience, preferably Oracle and/or MS SQL Server.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall development process.
  • Passion for making things better and confident to suggest improvements to procedures.
  • Ability to communicate technical and non-technical information.
  • Ability to produce quality documentation.
  • Great level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize workloads.
